Taxnova was born out of firsthand frustration.
While working as a product lead in a tech scale up, George was asked to help file an R&D tax claim at a previous company — only to be handed a blank spreadsheet with no guidance on what qualified.
He did what any engineer would do: studied the rules, dug through Jira and Slack, and pulled together documentation manually. It worked, but it was painful and took him away from actual product work.

That experience stuck. George and Maria, both from tech backgrounds, became convinced there was a better way. Taxnova is the result — a platform that does the heavy lifting and lets engineers focus on actual R&D, not R&D tax.
